This MH system runs a 250 watt MH bulb(Metal Halide for seedlings and vegetative growth). A conversion HPS bulb (High Pressure Sodium for fruiting/flowering) can be purchased separately below. HPS conversion bulbs are special HPS bulbs made to run on MH lighting systems.
