Replacement Fluorescent Bulbs
Use Only High Output (H.O.) T5 lamps in Tek Light, New Wave, Sun Blaze, Inner Sun, Spectra Max, & all other T5 Fixtures. Lamps that are not marked H.O. T5 will have significantly less output and/or will not fit a T5 fixture.
Traditional T12 and T8 fluorescent lighting is simply not powerful enough to light an area more than 8-10 inches below the bulb. With the recent introduction of the highly efficient T5 technology, T5 linear fluorescent lamps can now put out a respectable 92.6 lumens per watt. T12 lamps typically put out about 30 lumens per watt. Our T5 fluorescent lamps are excellent for starting seeds and cuttings, but are also able to produce enough light for full term growth. Because of their minimal heat output, they can be placed very close to the plant canopy to maximize the light output. We do carry T8 and T12 fluorescent grow lamps for those who already have a T8 or T12 light system. We also carry compact fluorescent grow bulbs.
